To my team who has made this small dream of mine grown into what it is today, who have become my family. It’s me, Meagan.
CEO and lead planner of Siren Events & Co.

It’s been awhile since you’ve probably seen my face and I thought it was time to reintroduce myself!

A few fun things about me:

•A mom of 2 girls (1 in heaven) and 1 dog.
•A serial hobbyist

•I’ve been told my superpower is the ability to remain calm in total chaos.

•What truly makes me smile? Spending quality unplugged time with my 2 year old daughter, and helping people start the next chapter of their lives together.

I’ve been an event planner for over 15 years (my whole life really) and in the event industry for over 10. However, Siren Events will be celebrating a decade of weddings next year.

Choosing accessories…

Between me and you, as a planner, helping decide on accessories is one of my least favourite parts of this job. Mostly because I don’t want to get it wrong! 50% of the time it feels like these pieces end up being an afterthought, then quickly purchased at a department store to check it off the to-do list… but they should be carefully selected just like your dress!

Working with someone like @laurajaynebride who takes everything into consideration about your look (features, dress, hair, wedding aesthetic) will give you an elevated look that’s complimentary to everything about your day.

(They’re arguably one of the most photographed aspects of your wedding, because they’re attached to you!)

When designing tablescapes I’m always trying to focus on cohesion and balance. Choosing a consistent theme or colour palette. I’m a lover of layers for visual interest and mixed textures, like the layers and layers of mixed linens and fabric runners, or the ornate gold cutlery with the modern ribbed stemware. Beautiful bold ornate chargers that act like a backdrop to elevate your plates and stationery.

This tablescape was built off of this beautiful @wedgwood dinner set. Every piece carefully selected to bring our story across the table.

What an incredible experience we had at the spa @124onqueen

Just walking into the hotel it smells incredible, but walking into the spa was like walking into heaven.

The sound bath from @saltotree was an experience. The snow room was so cool, and the sensory shower was my highlight.

The most generous in hospitality, why wouldn’t you want to stay here and be pampered pre- and post, wedding???
